Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer who has been the Prime Minister of Pakistan since 2018. He is the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and previously served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2007.
Khan was born in 1952 in Lahore, Pakistan. He studied at Oxford University and later played cricket for the Pakistani national team, captaining the team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. After retiring from cricket, Khan became involved in philanthropy and politics. He founded the PTI party in 1996 and has been its leader since then.
Khan was elected to the National Assembly in 2002 and has since been a prominent figure in Pakistani politics. He ran for Prime Minister in the 2018 elections and won, becoming the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan. Since taking office, Khan has focused on economic development, anti-corruption efforts, and improving relations with other countries.
